Sunday Keelboat Sailing

Every Sunday, the BAADS keelboat fleet gets out on the San Francisco Bay.  To sail with us, make a reservation by signing up online here.

Skippers file float plan here.

Any additional information such as sailing experience and any assistance you might need will help us make your trip the best possible experience. We welcome people with all forms of disability (though having a disability is not required) and no sailing experience is necessary. We meet Sundays at noon outside of Frankie’s Java House at Pier 40.

The wind and currents determine where we sail. Some of the areas we sail include: the South Bay sailing along San Francisco’s old shipyards heading towards the Hunters Point area; towards the East Bay, traveling down the Oakland Estuary; around Treasure Island;  along San Francisco’s waterfront; around Angel Island, or out under the Golden Gate Bridge.

It is possible to take out our boats during the week as long as a BAADS keelboat skipper is on board and that the boats are not needed for maintenance or other BAADS activities. Crews and skippers have to arrange by themselves. Skippers can sign up here.

If you have any questions, please contact us at keelboats@baads.org.
