We invite you to join BAADS. Being a member of BAADS means much more than just joining an organization — you are part of our sailing community. As an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, BAADS relies on its members to donate their time as well as their money. We ask everyone to contribute whatever they can to the best of their abilities. There are always ways you can help with the work (and fun) of BAADS.
For starters, become a member which covers all the sailing you can stand. Our small boats go out on Saturdays and keelboats on Sundays. Plus, there are also special events and social activities. If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter so you know what’s happening, send an email to Pirates Log. Our website includes links to sign-up to go sailing, upcoming events and other resources and information about BAADS.

BAADS is a sister organization to the South Beach Yacht Club which is located right next to Oracle Park in San Francisco. One of the perks of being a member of BAADS is that you can enjoy the use of SBYC whenever participating in a BAADS activity. As a member, you will receive a membership card which you need to wear whenever you’re in SBYC. All BAADS participants, especially members are required to follow our code of conduct.
Individual memberships are $60 and family memberships are $120. No one is turned down due to lack of funds. Hardship waivers are available by sending an email to our Membership Director. Annual memberships run for the calendar year so we ask everyone to renew your membership in December.
DONATIONS
Membership fees only fund a small portion of our programs. BAADS is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and we rely on donations. If you would like to donate on top of your membership, go to our donation page.
