BAADS Racing Program offers competitive racing to participants and encourages entry into National and International level competitions. You’ll find a list of racing opportunities here.

Each year, BAADS hosts the Herb Meyer Regatta. The Herb Meyer Regatta is scheduled for August 3-4, 2024.

Local Sailing opportunities:

The BAADS Small Boat Program has practice races on the first Saturday each month. Sign up as usual for Saturday sailing to participate.

Lake Washington Sailing Club (West Sacramento) hosts one-design racing the second Saturday each month (February 11, March 11, April 14), including Hansa 303s.

  • KMAC Regatta is scheduled for April 26-28, 2024 in San Diego
  • The Hansa Class Americas Championship will take place from April 29th to May 4th 2024 at Coronado Yacht Club, San Diego, California. 
  • The Hansa Class European Championships will take place from September 14th to 21st 2024 hosted by the Royal Yacht Club of Sneek, Netherlands. 
  • The Hansa Class Asia Pacific Championships will take place from October 20th to 25th 2024 at Southport Yacht Club, Gold Coast, Queensland, incorporating the Australian and Queensland Hansa Class Championships.

Racing can get expensive!

BAADS is trying make racing more accessible to BAADS members by providing a limited amount of funding for racing-related expenses. Any BAADS member in good standing can apply to be reimbursed for expenses related to competing in a regatta. If interested, please read the BAADS reimbursement policy and fill out an application. Contact racing@baads.org with any questions.
