Sailing is Open
After a loooong year, COVID has finally loosened its grasp so the Bay Area is fully allowing outdoor recreation. The keelboat, small boat and racing programs are back on the water and open to participants. Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance. The South Beach Yacht Club is also open and masks are required.
New sailors and volunteers are welcome if there’s room and skippers are available. It is up to the skippers as to who goes out on the keelboats as they need to consider the skills and experience of the sailors. The small boat program always needs more volunteers so if you have some time to give, please sign-up on the small boat page.
If you haven’t already, be sure to get vaccinated before participating. It is up to all of us to ensure that we act responsibly. We hope to see y’all out on the water soon.
