BAADS and San Francisco Fire Department team up for in water rescue drill.

Do not miss the very unique opportunity to actually experience how to rescue adaptive sailors in the water, and see how the SFFD do it with their equipment.

What: Live in water rescue demonstrations by SFFD and BAADS personnel and equipment in McCovey Cove.

When: Saturday June 3, 2017, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am

Where: Meet at Pier 40 Small Boat Dock for briefings and equipment review.  In water rescues will be in McCovey Cove from roughly 10:30 to 11:30 am Debriefing session at SBYC afterwards.  Viewing of in water rescues from SBYC deck is possible, as well as along the seawall railing.

How: SFFD personnel will demonstrate the use of their skiffs, jet skis and heavy lifting boat equipment during these live in water demonstrations.

Why: Because everyone needs as much training and experience as possible to prepare for person in water situations.  This is a must go to event.
